The City of ROME. 29th
Feb 2016
Yes once all roads led to Rome. So much history that shaped
the world today, so amazing to finally get here. Again it’s the ancient history
I came for and its art Following Michael Angelo threw Italy.
The coliseum and the pantheon and the River and its bridges
then the Vatican City, again amazing to Visit and be with in a place that
shaped my history and to see the place that created so much misery and blood
shed threw out history. A place that sort to Hold its powers by denying truth and wisdom.
To see the work of the renaissance artists and that celling panel
brought me to tears at his work Michael
Angelo and others was almost overwhelming emotionally as I sat and just looked
in amazement around me. the Vatican its self was the height of art its self, stunning
and breath-taking in its Buildings, the piaster and basilica.
Rome its self with its ancient buildings aspiring around
corners as you walk through its streets, and to stand in the centre of the Pantheon
as millions have stretching back threw sentry’s,
was beyond words, just a great thrill that I had made it here seen it.
The coliseum as I entered and lad my hands on its surfaces
and looked with in its outer corridoes, I could imagine and take myself back to
the people that once came here, in the times I had read about and the rulers
that once came here to, and as I climbed the steps as thousand, millions have
threw the past and entered and looked upon the arena it too was spellbinding,
and Chilling, that a place that now days is seen as one of the cradles of humanity,
witnessed such horrors as single combat,
and mass battles as gladiator’s fort to
the death, Christians slotted torn to bits by wiled animas, and defeated members
decapitated or beaten to death, Rapes, and gang raps of exotic woman captured
in wars, and mail rapes, and many children put to death, all for the pure entertainment
of the populist, of Rome its Day. Today it’s like many other city’s with its
shops and museum’s and great eating places. The hotel we stayed in was very pleasant
and the people very warm and helpful .
Well worth a Visit once in your life.
