Friday Morning Beth my daughter and I boarded a plane to
Italy from Heathrow.
Beth had arranged everything and had an pack of times and
itinerary of the 8 day trip
Basically I always wished to Visit Venice as part of my love
and interest in history and art.
Helen my wife had been there twice so would have been somewhat
of an overkill for her, and as to my eye sight a trip like this would have been
too much of a struggle on my own, So Beth arrange this trip, but with many suppresses
and much more than just a trip to Venice, I found myself lead to places I never
would have dreamed of getting to in this life time, and it was such a pleasure,
surprising and interesting and a proud moment, being escorted and taken on Holiday by one of my
offspring. Everything was meticulously planned out booked and the armaments, Hotels
trains bots and planes all went off without a hitch, stunning really, as soon
as we got off a plane or train and into a hotel we were off sightseeing every moment of the day , full , and just amassing
and interesting, castles. Museums, villages, viewing points, rivers bates,
islands, Roman Villars and the roman amphitheatre in Verona was a knock out and
a supine. Venice its self was all that I thought and knew it would be spellbinding,
we walked for miles and the boat trips Taxis where Fantastic.
To cross the bridge of sighs and the rialto amazing.
A special moment was to be taken on a motor boat to an
island to a 5 start hotel for a 5 star never to be forgotten evening meal on and outside terrace overlooking the sea,
the food was stunning and the serve’s was immaculately carried out. One of them
moments in life to sit there with Beth and just enjoy a moment in life not to
be forgotten.
Most of the photos are taken by Beth as I was just too busy
looking around taking it all in, from two tiered Trans a train serve’s and
rolling stock and timing that up our train serve’s to shame! Especially how cheap
and affordable it was. I love all the train
journeys watching Italy go by with a bag of crisps and a bottle of coke.
Every Hotel we stayed in was well placed and clean and comfortable,
and meals in the restaurants just lasing in the sun or in the evening’s where Perfect , and fun.
One of them Holiday’s, trips it’s a shame to stop and come home
from, but a trip I will never forget and am so thankful to Beth for. Especially
putting up with me that is a skill in its self .
